Government Work

AND THIS JUST IN FROM MY COUNTY GOVERMENT...

OK, I had to call and ask about this because of the complaints pouring into the Discordian Ombudsman's Office.  Honestly, it sounded TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.  Families bringing their children in for county-funded mental health treatment are now being required to sign releases so that they can...exchange information about their children.  With each other.

DO THEY REALLY NEED GOVERNMENT PERMISSION FOR THAT?

A swift double-check revealed that this was not being asked specifically of, say, bitterly divorced parents who might have a REASON not to talk about their children's mental health treatment.  These releases are being required of all families, even in cases where both parents live in the same household and GET ALONG FINE.

The release is good for a year.

After that, to talk about their children I guess they have to sneak into the bathroom and turn on the faucets so nobody knows that they are discussing.
